The CAPF (AC) stands for Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants). CAPF (AC) is an examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for selecting officers for the post of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). The CAPF (AC) exam consists of two stages: the written exam and the Personality Test or Interview. The written exam consists of two papers – Paper I and Paper II. Paper I is an objective type paper consisting of General Ability and Intelligence and General Studies. Paper II is a subjective type paper that tests the candidate‘s knowledge of General Studies, Essay and Comprehension. The Personality Test or Interview is a qualifying test that assesses the candidate‘s knowledge, aptitude, and personality.
